We use AI to build this. Here's exactly how.
We use AI to build software faster. We don't use it to replace human judgment, artistry, or accountability — and we don't train it on your data.
Why .ai?
First, a clarification: the company's full legal name is Fetch Labs AI LLC — the “AI” is genuinely part of our name, not just the web address. You'll rarely see it written out, though. The company name takes a back seat on purpose: Go Potty and Wellness are the brands you actually interact with, and Fetch Labs AI LLC is just who's behind them.
FetchLabs is a one-person company, and the name describes how the work actually gets done.
Building a polished mobile app has traditionally required a team: engineers, designers, QA, DevOps. AI tooling closes enough of that gap that a single developer can ship something that feels like it came from a studio. That's the whole premise of this company, and it felt more honest to put it in the name than to hide it.
But putting “AI” in the name invites a fair question: what exactly are you doing with it? This page answers that plainly.
Where AI does the work
AI is a core part of how FetchLabs builds software. Specifically:
Prototyping
Exploring approaches, sketching interfaces, and pressure-testing ideas before committing to a direction.
Coding
Writing, reviewing, and refactoring application code. Every line is read and understood by a human before it ships.
Testing
Generating test cases, catching edge cases, and running automated checks across devices and screen sizes.
The result: one developer can build, test, and maintain an app at a level of polish that used to require a team. That's the point — and it's why the Go Potty Pass will be a one-time $14.99 purchase instead of a subscription, once it ships.
About the artwork
Some visual assets currently in our products and on this site are AI-generated. We want to be upfront about that rather than let you assume otherwise.
This is a starting point, not a destination. To be specific: our logo and our entire icon set are currently AI-generated. So is most of the imagery you see across this site. None of it has been through a professional illustrator yet.
As our products mature and revenue allows, we intend to contract human artists to replace this work. That isn't a vague someday — it's a line item we are budgeting toward. When it happens, we'll update this page to say so.
AI doesn't replace human intuition, style, or artistic skill. It gets a solo founder to a working product. Real craft comes from real people, and we intend to pay for it.
Support: AI first, human always available
As we grow, AI may handle first-line support — answering common questions instantly instead of leaving you waiting a day for a reply. Here's exactly how that works:
Through the contact form, email, or in-app support. Nothing changes about how you reach us.
Common questions covered by our documented procedures — reminders not firing, restoring a purchase, redeeming a code — may get an immediate AI-assisted answer.
Anything complex, unusual, or outside our standard procedures is escalated to a member of our team. Billing disputes, bug reports, privacy requests, and anything involving your account always reach a person.
You can always ask for a human. Say so in your message and we'll skip the triage step entirely — no hoops, no bot loop.
Where we don't use AI
- Train AI models on your data or your pup's logs
- Sell or share your data with AI companies
- Use AI to make decisions about your account without review
- Generate fake reviews, testimonials, or engagement
- Replace a human where a human is what you need
- What features get built and why
- What we charge and how we charge it
- How your data is handled
- Every line of code that ships
- Any support issue that matters
Our Privacy Policy covers what we collect and why. The short version applies here too: your data is used to run the app, and for nothing else.
Questions about this
AI in consumer software is moving fast and reasonable people disagree about where the lines should be. If you think we've drawn one in the wrong place, we genuinely want to hear it.
